I am new to chicken keeping so any advice is appreciated.

We got 12 chicks, three of them EE's from a local grain store, of course they are all supposed to be females but I am suspicious.

They are about 11 weeks old now.

The first one I am assuming is a roo. He acts just like what I suspect a rooster would act like and he looks different then his siblings.

The next one is the one I go back and forth on......s/he holds his tail feathers high usually, just like the one above, if that makes a difference.

This is the sibling of the above chickens.

Thanks for any help!!

Good news, Looks like all girls to me. I added some pictures of my girls at the same age

I also raise this breed, I just love the colored eggs and they make for a fun centerpiece for the table, lol.

I'm inclined to agree ... number 1 looks like a Roo.
I know I could tell the difference with mine by the size/color of the comb ...

Here's an example of my two:

The one on the left turned out to be a pullet, and the one on the right a Roo.
I hadn't been sure til he crowed that he WAS in fact a rooster (he hadn't at the time of this photo) but the comb was a big indicator.
The two latter ones have almost no comb it looks like :)

I know this thread is old but I have an EE "female" that looks a lot like your 1st pic and one that looks like your 2nd and I'm curious what your outcome was.. My apricot EE does not have as red of a comb as yours does so I'm hopeful.. Thank you!:caf
