Easter Egger chick colors?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I appreciate all the pictures and links...and hope they keep coming!

I won't be able to pick up any EE chicks until late February, when the local feed store gets chicks.

I'm still hopeful that I can pick out a couple girls that are not brown....

our 4 day old Sunshine. I am curious, will her/his legs change color? Right now they are yellow, but her dad is an easter egger and mom is a maran. will the legs turn to the slate color? With the heat lamp, her coloring is off, but she/he is yellow with some reddish possibly.
Mine had yellow feet too at first. I had the same question, I just decided to give them more time. I think it was about a week that they finally turned blue/green.

Our Sunshine has similar coloring as to your Sophia and she is a little older than mine, so this will become an interesting update post for us to compare!

EE's are much different than Ameraucanas, but if you want black or blue you should purchase Ameraucanas from a breeder. Sometimes you may find some from a hatchery that are close in color, but they don't normally breed true to color. If you are looking for a black, chose a black and cream colored chick. If you are looking for a blue, chose a blue(gray as you call it) and cream colored chick. Here is a picture of blacks, blues and splash (yellow in color) colored chicks. Splash generally grow out white with splashes of blue color.

Now here is a pic of wheaten/blue wheaten chicks. They are also yellow in color but if you spread their wings you will see some hints of a darker black or blue color. You will not find those darker colors in the wing of a splash chick, usually you see white in their wing.

Thought this might help you out, but I would be surprised if you found these colors among hatchery birds. Most EE's I've seen at feed stores are chipmunk colors. No telling what they will turn out to be.

Ok, call me the show-off momma, but I had to post these pics of the babies again, now at 17 days old! Sophia is getting some tan feathers coming in on her chest and around her neck. When I picked her out at the store she was the deepest yellow of all the yellow colored chicks, and the only yellow chick with the deep yellow vertical stripes down her back (see her day-old pics). I was hoping she was going to feather out with some wheaten in her, and it looks like I got a winner! Tiana on the other hand is turning out more brown than I expected. I thought that being mostly yellow with just a little darkness in her fluff would translate to mostly light colored feathers, but that's not the case. She has a lot of brown in her. I guess you can't have any guarantees with the chipmunk EE chicks.
