Easter Egger chick colors?

Any egger-sperts wanna take a crack at telling me what color they think this chick will turn out? I have three with varying shades of this color and looks like white coming out on the wing feathers.

This is EXACTLY the same coloring as my 7day old EE chick and I had the same question as yours. Thanks sooo much for posting your pics. Would you mind telling me what color your hen and roo are?

She's feathering out to a pretty white with very light lavender markings. Her sister has slightly more lavender and then the other sister looks like she has lavender in the pattern of the common "wheaten" pattern that many eggers seem to be. I'll try to get some pics up tonight or by tomorrow.

Where did you get your babies from? Mine came from chickensforbackyards.com which I believe is a cackle gathers company.

I have another packing peanut /mystery chick from an order I got from McMurray that appears to be the standard wheaten color.

My little one is from my EE hen and my BCM roo. She is the only successful hatch this time around.. I will post a pic asap. Were you happy with your chicks from the chickensforbackyards?

Surprisingly very happy. I had an order from them come in along with the order from McMurray. My McMurray 16 chicks were crammed into a tiny box and many ended up with cocci despite being vaccinated for cocci. I ended up losing two.

I had 6 chicks come from chickensforbackyards.com, 3 ee pullets and 3 cuckoo marans pullets and all were thriving, despite only being vaccinated for mareks. They were mixed with the other chicks and never got sick. The 6 chicks came in a much bigger box than the 16 from McMurray. I was very impressed and will likely order from them next time. Plus all 3 ee pullets are beautiful!

Notice feathery feet already. Any thoughts as to finished coloring would be really interesting. Photo of mom and roo also included.


My camera did not pick up the pale grey in the chicks coloring.

Just gorgeous, all of them!! Do you know if the wing sexing trick works with EE's?

Wing sexing is not accurate on Easter Eggers.

Just gorgeous, all of them!!  Do you know if the wing sexing trick works with EE's?

Thank you, I've only had EE pullets and hens so I couldn't make comparisons against Roos, I'm thinking it just depends on what's been bred into them. I can see stark differences between my light brahma cockeral and pullets feathering at this age, but no difference in feathering between my cuckoo maran cockeral and pullets. I think the EEs are the most difficult to sex of all because of the variety, which is what I love about them.
