Easter Egger club!

It's been so hot here that egg production is really down and I think it can delay some pullets from starting as young as they might have in cooler weather.
A friends EEs are 24 weeks and still not laying, they are hatchery birds, so don't know mix.

Thanks everyone..... I will need to be more patient. I have 3 out of 5 older girls (not EE's) laying and the other 2 are doing the squat, so any day now. I am excited to see what color eggs we may get. I do have to say I was bummed to learn they could be brown.... really wanted some color, but hoping out of 5 I will get at least a couple with some pretty colors.

EE fan. The only chickens I've ever had were EE chicks.

There was...

Clover : definitely in charge. Everyone listened to her. Black, with goldfish red spots. Beautiful hen, very calm and tolerating. Everyone but me saw her as the best...
August : kinda crazy. I have to say, I wasn't a huge fan... she was white and a bit small. Flighty and not very friendly. She wasn't mean or anything, I just didn't see her as affectionate. Ran away a lot and usually Clover would relent and follow with Lilac.
Lilac : my very favorite <3 Tan with white and black spots, so pretty, smaller than even August, but older than the others by a few days. Timid and followed, never led. She liked me. That made me happy!

Both of my EEs have slate feet and a pea comb, one has puffy cheeks and the other no ear feathers at all. I love how different they can look from one another.
