Easter Egger club!

2 of my 3 EE bantams have started laying! Took them 29 and 30 weeks. Still waiting on
my third one.

Pearl was first

The tan egg is from my bantam cochin, she started the same day as Opal

They are both green eggs and pretty close in color. The second picture doesn't show the color correctly.

I got a beautiful EE last month along with two more hens. I thought I would have to be without chickens now, but a son let me know that I needed my chickens. Yep. I am just keeping a few during the summer and early fall only. My other two..black sexlink and RIR started laying pretty quick once they were here. I've had EE'S and know how they can be. This girl was quite nervouse for a while. But...finally!

She is gorgeous! Where do your chickens go for the winter?

I have a friend..thank goodness, that will start taking them in. She has a huge farm. My DH was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a year ago Feb. We have been going through a lot of testing, now trying meds. Our son and his wife ..and baby, have moved in to help. I actually love having their company .. that alone, but oh boy, other things they do have come in handy.
