She is beautiful, I love her markings.I got a beautiful EE last month along with two more hens. I thought I would have to be without chickens now, but a son let me know that I needed my chickens. Yep. I am just keeping a few during the summer and early fall only. My other two..black sexlink and RIR started laying pretty quick once they were here. I've had EE'S and know how they can be. This girl was quite nervouse for a while. But...finally! View attachment 1713942 View attachment 1713945 View attachment 1713949 View attachment 1713950 View attachment 1713952
War, Famine, Death, and Plague?!Here are my latest babies. Had a little photo shoot a couple weeks ago. Impatiently waiting to see what color eggs these girls give me![]()
The names seem to fit. These four all hang together. War is go getter, Famine is the runt, Death is black and very stoic, and Plague is all over everyoneWar, Famine, Death, and Plague?!![]()
I think it's even more hilarious because the other two are Fancy and Patricia. I tend toward the "old lady" names but this year we got four so each member of the household got to name one. The newbies are Ginger, Sally, Victoria, and Opal. Ginger and Sally are gold sexlinks and I can tell them apart so far because Sally is feathering in a shade lighter (she looks buff and white rather than orange) and they're both lighter than the gsl I got two years back. The names seem to fit. Hens- Oreo, TweedleDee, and Jezabel. Roos- HeiHei, Patrick, and What’sItTooYa. (My kids are big Spongebob fans
) We lost TweedleDum, Thelma, and Louise to raccoons last summer.
