I posted a little while back, and here is one of my chicks, a bit older now still need probably about another month or two before eggs. Although she is beginning to squat a little.

First egg from my Olive egger Edwina!

RIR and Leghorn eggs either side for comparison.
Pity it's not green

Still a beautiful egg. My Black Star lays eggs that color and she looks almost exactly like Edwina. My RIR also lays a dark egg.

My gosh Edwina at first glance looks just like my Patsy! What a beautiful girl!

Most of her body feathers are edged in copper and have a bit of iridescence in the sun so I agree, she is a pretty bird ( and I'm not biased! Honestly! )

I was so excited at getting my first dark brown egg that I took a "beauty photo"
( That's an egg shell from a commercial, free range brown egg next to it. I'm pretty sure Edwina's is just a little bit darker )
