Yay! I'm impatiently waiting for my girls to lay.
How old are your girls?

My new EE girls just started laying at 21 weeks.

They’re about 23 weeks old. All 6 have red combs but only 1 has been squatting. So I’m not quite sure who laid the second egg.

Ok, mine are about 18 weeks old so it looks like I'll have to be patient a little longer. They both have quite small pea combs so it is hard to check their colour unless they are standing still and looking right at you.
Edwina, my olive egger, is looking very big and plump though!

I have heard that EEs can take up to 28 weeks to start laying. It may be a while yet. I will say that neither of my new hens have bright red combs but they are laying.

Here are my four EEs, two of whom turned out to be roos. Can't wait till the girls start to lay. They are all around four months old, and so far the boys have been very nice.

I'm sure he will be beautiful!!! That's one thing so fun about EEs. They are individual surprises. I can see my roos get prettier by the day.
