Easter Egger club!

Any pet store will sell quick stop. Works good, if you can't get the bleeding to stop with a home remedy. Lots of home remedies, I even read pouring lukewarm candle wax on the foot would seal it, just don't burn him! (Obviously)

Okay... Sign me up. This is a picture of Si. Named after Uncle Si on Duck Dynasty. :-D
I got her about 3 weeks ago and she is terrified of me. She runs for the hills every time I step out in the yard. I have 2 other hens. A BSL and a RIR. Both of the other 2 hens are laying, but Si, who is about 23 weeks old has not laid an egg yet. I hope hope hope for a blue/green egg!!

Beautiful!

I have found eggs in the back of my 4 wheeler and in the boat. My BSL lays in odd places. I can't wait for my EE to begin laying.

We got our first two eggs from our mixed flock of EEs and Wyandottes a few weeks ago (about 23 weeks old now) but have seen nothing since. Is this because it's getting colder or should I be scouring the yard in search of eggs?

I have one easter egger that was laying green eggs for probably two months, I believe that she stopped laying for awhile because we weren't getting any green eggs. All of our other chickens are brown egg layers and now we are getting a white egg, could it be hers and any reason why the change in color?

You won't get white eggs out of a blue laying chicken - the genes that determine blue egg color mean the blue is built right into the shell. Generally, chickens only get lighter eggs as they get older, the eggs don't actually change colors.
