That's what I though but my other chickens are either brahma's or Delaware's according to the hatchery we got them from, what could be the explanation.

Well, according to the guy I got my "Barred Rocks" from, they were hatchery Barred Rocks. They look for all the world like Dominiques (Barring pattern, tailset, general body build) with the exception of their HUGE freakin' combs and the fact that they're dark partridge barred in color. I suspect someone got put in the wrong breeding pen at the hatchery. Given I both rescued them AND I only wanted them for egg production, I'm not remotely upset, but it's made me really wary of actually ordering from the hatchery unless I want birds I don't care are 'mixed'...like Easter Eggers. And now I know too many good breeders in the real world to want to pay hatchery prices for em!My hatchery order didn't go quite as planned. Do you have any oddballs in your flock? Maybe cross breeds thats what I got a few of. Dominique x barred rock slipped in with purebred.
Here is a idea to find the hen laying this egg. Pen a hen alone in the evening and keep her penned until someone lays the white egg. Start with the EE since you suspect her. If you get the white egg every day or every other day pen the hen the evening before the egg is expected. Mark each hen that has been tested. Sooner or later you will find the right hen. A pet carrier with straw or wood chips works well. All the Delaware look the same and all the Brahma look the same but I am no expert.
