Easter Egger club!

When do EEs start to lay? Are their eggs always green?

I've heard they are winter layers too. Sylvia is in perfect health and hasn't laid any eggs yet, unless she's hiding then from me.
I have 4 EE's one started laying at 18 weeks, 2 around 20-22 weeks and the last one just laid her first egg 2 weeks ago at a full 10 months old!!!
3 are laying through the winter and one is not. 2 lay brown and 2 lay green. So I think EE's can do whatever they want whenever they want and we're just here to adore them!!!

An update on my Cricket. He has changed a lot...but he has not grown one whit. Bantam? He just started crowing last week. Sounded soooooo adorable and I almost burst out laughing, but I didn't want to give him a complex.
if he's starting to crow he's at his full size. Roos May "fill out" a bit after maturity, but what you see is what you get. How small is he?

She does free-range and I'm not sure of her age...she could be an old lady for all I know! lol

Thanks!
My hens free range too and sometimes I have to go looking for eggs... like a Easter egg hunt, only not on Easter... lol I found a nest of 20 eggs one time and at the time I only had about 5 or 6 hens not laying in the house... I started looking more often after that..

She looks healthy enough, has she gone through a molt yet? I have a few Buff's that still haven't laid any eggs and a few people told me to wait till after they molt and they should start up then.... have you went out for your Easter egg hunt yet? maybe she is hiding them on you. Or maybe she just decided that it is way too cold for eggs... lol I don't know just giving you ideals from my personal knowledge and what others had told be when I asked the same question. Again sorry I miss the pic. she is pretty
