Tecalotte means owl and she looked like one when small

Hi all, I love EE's and when I first wanted chickens the EE's were high on my want list! They are the mutts of chickens, and all turn out so different and beautiful.


The roo is Custard. the girl who I consider a mutt is Phoebe. She lays an egg with a pinkish hue!

This is our baby we hatched, Sunshine. She hatched out of a Maran egg, but her dad is the ee. I thought that would make her an easter egger, but after a week her legs are still yellow! any input?

Depending on the cock's genetics, she could end up an olive egger. If he's only carrying one copy of the blue egg gene she could end up with a lighter egg than marans usually lay.

Well here is what I know about the roo. His mom was an americauna and his dad is a rir. Our roo hatched out of a blue egg!
