These are mine, as chicks and now. They grow so fast, 3 are cuddlers(even my roo) and 3 are a little skittish but warming up to me.
Names:
Pablo(roo),sweetie pie (sitting on my lap),snowflake, speckles, road runner, and gimp.
Can you tell the kids named them????? :bow

Your EE's are very pretty. I love the plumage colours. One of my EE hens is a creamy orange and white with a few laced feathers. The other one was really beautiful but got lost. She had goldlaced black neck feathers and ablack head and beard. Her eyes were amber which contrasted her black feathers. Her body was a dark redish brown with black lace. She had a somewhat partridge marking and somewhat barnevelder.

Thank you, yours sound nice. I'm new to this and its crazy how many different colors you can see in the feathers. I am so addicted to chickens! I'm up to 14 and want more. :love

These are 2 of my EE's from this years bunch! They are both 13 weeks old so hopefully only about 3 more weeks until they start laying! Anyway, the cockerel's name is bacon and I don't know a name for my pullet. What do you all think her name should be? Oh, and next year these 2 are going to be together so do you think there is a good chance of their chicks having the same color as the hen since they both are blue and red?

My mob of EEs are outside in run finally!! Fester still sorting out his crow, AH-AAAA!
i have 3 that look like some of yours. The ones with white and grey. I'm actually thinking of breeding them to see if i can stabilize the colors and maybe work my way into a new variety. I think it would be cool if we traded eggs at some point.

FVRM, my gray and blacks are mostly bantys. This group are 8 weeks old now. Most of the standards are black and white, but perhaps we could trade some down the road if Fester isn't over worked. 30 some ladies, two guys I know of.Also I have LF Light Brahmas,Blue Cochin,Speckled Sussex and Gold Lace Wyandotte in here.

My chicks are all almost 6 weeks old (monday), and my EE is definitely the feistiest of the bunch. That being said they should all be pullets, but is it normal for them and her (EE) to be jumping on each other? Is it play? or early roo behavior? Im a total noob when it comes to chickens and I feel SO lucky that I havent had any huge problems so far, but my example to tell about happened today when I was hanging out with them. I scooped one of my BA pullets to hang out on my lap and my EE (our total fav) litteraly "flew" up onto my lap and basically on TOP of the BA....kind of silly? kind of roo like? She has been rated a she hands down thus far, no red on her cute pea comb, its pinking up a little so far but no red on her shoulders. Ive noticed they all like to butt heads and fly into each other...made me think maybe they are establishing a pecking order? Forgive me for being such a nooblet!
