My first Easter Egger! We've only had her for 3 days. She escaped from the coop after 24 hours and just came back tonight. She was an impulse buy when I picked up my new chicks from a hatchery. Flighty right now but we really like her. Named "Melon" aka

All of my pullets (of different breeds) were late laying (which I'm ok with, since that means they'll probably continue to lay later in life instead of burning out early). As for the nest box, just make one available. I noticed my girls would "practice" by going in and out on their own, no need to force it. Broodiness seems for the most part not to hit EE's too strongly or early, but there's always exceptions to that, especially since people like mixing different breeds in and that can have a strong impact.
