Someone posted an ad on craigslist selling ameracaunas and easter eggers. I figured they knew what the were talking about since they separated the two. It turns out they were all easter eggers. She knew about easter eggers versus ams but not enough.

the silver lining to this is I got two really cheap 4 week old pullets that might be good egg layers later on. $4 for both. And around here easter eggers sell for $5 each while they are still a day old

I have two Easter eggers I just got for the first time- they're about 6 weeks old. One of them is named Butter- she has the CUTEST little puffy cheeks ever!! She's cream/grey colored. Then I have a black one with tan streaks named Amigo. Amigo might be a rooster, however- he's a little more fisety but even when I pick him up he sits down and is tame. I love them- they're both friendly (especially Butter) which is great because I raise them for pets. I also can't wait to see what colored eggs they lay!!

Is he friendly? We usually just prefer hens, so we get rid of the Roos, and we might have gotten an EE rooster by accident. Do you think he's friendly enough to keep?
