Easter Egger club!

oh I see. Yea, that sucks. As far as I know, my local tsc only has one swap out of the year. I bought 2 banty cochins and a brahma at last years swap and all of them were pullets thank god! Were they chicks when you bought them?
they were just out of the brooder when I got them

My 22 week EE laid her first egg yesterday. It was a bit on the smallish side, but I know they will get bigger as she matures. It was a beautiful shade of green. In the past, I have had Easter Eggers that were very flighty, but this group of birds is very sweet, and they get more attentive the older they get. Though I must admit, they are spoiled rotten!

Hey everyone, I need help. I have a broody EE setting on two EE eggs and one mystery brown egg. In the beginning she was on 7 eggs but one I found cracked on day 9 and tossed it. (It was developing fine). About a week ago I noticed eggs were missing from underneath the hen. I believe some predator is stealing them as I found eggshells of the missing on the coop floor along with two of the eggs(I found the two eggs on separate days and they were unharmed so I put them back under my hen.) I checked the coop and blocked any entrances and so far the three eggs are fine. Today is day 20 but no pips or wigglers so far. My question is, would the two eggs that I found on the ground still hatch? The nest box is raised 6 inches from the ground, would the drop have killed the babies since they were so far into the incubation period?

Any thoughts or recommendations will be much appreciated!

Thank you.

Yeah a drop could shake them up, but i'm more worried about how long they were out from under her. They can get cold really fast and die. Maybe it's the other chickens taking the eggs from her.
