Easter Egger club!

Our EE roo Gryffindor is growing up into a mighty handsome bird! We had a bit of a scare the other day when I went into the chicken coop early in the morning to find he'd gotten caught on chicken wire in the night and was hanging by one toe for who knows how long. I carefully untangled him from his predicament, but his foot was twisted badly and he couldn't move his left leg, so we brought him inside and babied him a bit. By the end of the day, he was back outside with the others, limping but still able to keep up. Today he isn't even limping at all.

I can't wait until he's old enough to breed with our EE girls. I am eager to see what kind of chickens we get from it!

Hello friends!
I would love to purchase Easter Eggers. My grandbabies would love the colorful eggs. Did most of you buy your EE from a hatchery or from local people? I'm near Nashville TN (about an hour from there) if anyone has EE pullets/hens for sale.

I'm new to raising chickens. Some told me this may be an EE. Can anyone help?

I got my Easter Egger Bantams from a hatchery, but if you can find what you like locally, I'd recommend starting there. I think Craigslist, and this BYC are good places to start.

I got my EEs from Meyerhatcher.com I'm happy with them. Very healthy, no problems, shipped perfectly. They do all sort of look the same though which is a little disappointing. I was expecting a variety in color and patterns, especially after seeing all the lovelies in this thread. Don't know if that's a hatchery thing or just my luck of the draw. Enjoying everyone's pretty birds!
