Easter Egger club!

Well, my brother named her Lampshade because when I was born that was his vote for my name. (luckily he didn't win :))


Now, my babies are bigger, but I didn't have a current picture. I will post a current picture of them when I get a chance.

So I know that this isn't related to this form but what will happen if I merge my two flocks togther they are living right next to each other in severe coops the only difference is age does that matter and what will happen to the younger birds... There will only be one rooster total :). Thank you have a great night

What is the age difference? It will take a few days for them to get along. The best thing to do is combine them at night as it gets dark. When they wake up they will all be together and it will be easier for them to accept each other. You will probably have one older bird that will pick on the younger ones. Be prepared.

I mixed two flocks of 8 week old chicks. Even though they were only 2 days apart in age, they still fought and it took a week for them to start getting along. Most of the time it goes well, but you never know how personalities are going to flare when new birds are added.
