Winter slow down, sometimes molting this time of year. Abigail is on egg strike (she started molting 3 days before I purchased her), and she probably won't start up laying again for at least the next two months or so. Lucky me

Quick question: my EE pullet started laying at 29 weeks in late summer and has produced an egg fairly reliably three days in a row, then take a day off, then picks up again for three days. But recently she's completely stopped. From what I'm seeing on this site, that's normal for these girls?
Thanks!
Wow! My first blue egg from this girl[/IMG]![]()
Very true! Love your name lolWoo! First eggs are best eggs! Congrats!
Yep its cold and gets dark sooner and stays dark longer. My girls just got a new house and 2 days ago I got 3 eggs from them and yesterday I got 6. All I can think is it is warmer in the new coop ( I was really surprised by that cause its a metal shed ) but I don't look to get that everyday. I think they were just saying Thank You... lolQuick question: my EE pullet started laying at 29 weeks in late summer and has produced an egg fairly reliably three days in a row, then take a day off, then picks up again for three days.
