I have a question. When did everyone's EE roosters start to crow? My chicks will be 7 weeks Wednesday, I can't wait to hear the first crow.
I have new Easter Eggers!!They are so neat and different looking!! I am so excited to learn more about them,![]()
John Wayne the feisty roo
Chantilly she can be shy
Blanche is a sweety
Blanche has a white spot on her head! NEAT!
Little Rose she is a beautiful blonde with a lavender stripe, she is the sweetest
I have noticed that the first two pick at Blanche the blue EE, and I am finding little wing and tail feathers in the brooder box daily. I am putting Blue Kot on her but I am worried they are stressing her. John Wayne is a booger and tends to instigate the picking. Is it because she is differesnt from them in color?
Well he is about 2 days younger than Chantilly and Blanche and has out grew them fiercely, he acts very different and when Rosie who is a week younger was put into the brooder he literally rode her back and had her pinched on the head. I had to shoo him away, the lady who I got all of them from told me when I picked them out he was very likely a roo by his rapid growth and his tail feathers had a little split, Which is prominent in the way a roo's tail form. So I was told lol I am very new at this...also those are last weeks pics, the 3 bigger ones are 3 weeks now and Rose is 2 weeks.Cute.... just wondering how you can tell John Wayne is a roo... asking because his posture reminds me of one of mine (that I posted above) that I have a feeling is a roo.
Is one mixed with a Wyandotte? Because I see a SLW and then a normal EE and one with what looks like some lacing.
