So cute, congrats. I'm not able to tell yet, need a few more weeks. Someone else may come on soon and be able to give you some idea. Be sure to post again with add'l pics in a few weeks! Chirp

Thanks. They are 10 days old today. I truely hope they are girls. I'd hate to be so attached and have to rehome them. Since I live inside the city limits, I can't have any Roo's.

I understand. Keeping fingers crossed and thinking girly thoughts for you.
On the photos, try to get clear shots of the top of their comb/head, Also a good side photo of each will be most helpful. Chirp.

So I have a question for all experienced EE owners...
I new to raising chickens. My girls are only 9 days old. I paid for all girls. Now I know the company quaruntees correct sex. And I have till they are 18wks old, to be refunded if they turn out to be boys. But what I'm wondering is, how accurate is sexing newly hatched EE'S? I'm just hoping I don't have to start over with new chicks...
All 3 of my girls are still in what I like to call the chipmunk stage (the markings)but all look so different. The smallest has muddled markibgs and no eyeliner. The middle middle sized one has VERY sharp markings. And the last is quite chubby, dark eyeliner, and legs have changed color to almost a gray green.

Hi iwanaplae2,

The four you have show coloring of pullets right now. Especially the chipmunk striped ones, but it is not 100 percent full proof. Your three that are striped look like our hens, but the dark one could go either way. Our dark brown turned into "Hawkie" who is pictured in this forum a few pages back and is a pullet. Baby pic of our four below: TwoTone second from left turned into a cockerel. He is now 16 weeks and we still were not 100 percent sure he was a cockerel until his "rooster" feathers started to come in (the hackles and saddle feathers on a roo are very "stringy" looking).
all of your little ones are cuties :)

Miss Digby Chicken Caesar came to us in February 2013. She was a stray in Liberty, MO. A STRAY! She's missing parts of her outer toes, probably from frostbite. She's still rather shy around me, unless I have little yellow cherry tomatoes, but she LOVES my Faverolles roo, Dr. Orpheus. I have no idea how old she is, but she lays beautiful, light blue eggs pretty regularly. She can be quite noisy, specially when she can't see her rooster. Otherwise she is quiet and shy, will not let me touch her unless I sneak up on her in the dark, and I love it when she cocks her head and looks at me with her black eyes.
