Easter Egger club!

I think this guy is going to get to stay so he needs a name. I am open to suggestions, but I like short and simple names. He has the jade green tiping or covering his black feathers at the base of hackles, wing tips, and tail (colored like a RIR's green tail feather). He is almost four months old.

Switch it up! How about Igor? Pronounced "eye-gore" of course. :D Sorry, giggling over here at the idea.

As far as @daxigait 's roo.... I've been giving my roos Greek and Roman names. Augustus Nero and Orpheus so far.

Pick a theme and run with it! That's part of the fun! And I agree, he's quite striking. :)

If he has beautiful jade feathering then I think you've come up with his good name - "JADE"

Road runner or Predator or Hippy

That is feather picking. And it is probably caused by overcrowding stress. Both the coop and run are much too small for the number of birds living in it.
arrgh, I just clued in that I may be having the same problem...I thought it was just left over from before I got rid of the rooster and they would be bare till they molted....it is the bottom 3 of the flock that are bare or almost bare backed. I didnt think much of it since he was really rough on them but I just noticed more feathers gone from one of them than what have been. I have only 7 hens in a 32 sq ft coop with a poop board that gives a little more room than that and an 200 sq foot run so I am thinking overcrowding is not the problem. I have never seen anyone doing it so not sure who the culprit is.....but my 2 EE's and to a much lesser extent my most timid B.O have feathers missing at least from their saddle area and much farther up on the EE's. Sigh I have enough problems with one of the EE's stubborn bumblefoot.

Hi everyone! We have had our two wonderful EE's for about a year now and we just love them! We had two other EE's that unfortunately turned out to be roosters, already with two other roosters that wouldn't have worked, so we had to get rid of them. :( Anyways, here's some pics of the two!

This is Arlo. We thought she was a rooster too, which would've been really sad, but luckily she turned out to be a pullet. The boy name stuck though.

This is Henny. I'm not really sure how she got her name, I think someone just started calling her that, and then everyone started doing it......
