Some pictures I took of the flock yeaterday.

Would anyone consider trading eggs in the spring for hatching? I have some interesting EE pairings planned.

e.g faverolles x EE, sulmtaler x EE, red sexlink x EE and possibly BCM x EE (olive egger)

I used a red sex link rooster once, he offspring lived until laying age. After about a month or two they both up and died for no apparent reason. I figured maybe egg bound but not really sure, but they did lay humongous eggs from day one.

After this all happened I decided I would never again use Sexlinks in my program.

The red and white hen are red sex-link mixes.

Mixed already? They might work if they've lived that long. My experience may have just been a fluke of nature.

I've seen black Sexlinks crossed and they are excellent layers and they don't seem to have the laying issues of the RSL.
