My EE's that hatched on 5/22/15 gave me surprise eggs this week!

Love the green color of this egg, and what a great size for a pullet's first egg!



Here's the super tiny pullet egg next to an XL egg. Isn't it cute? It didn't have a yolk.

Mine hatched right around then too. I'm hoping they might start laying before the winter comes!

Have any of you ever seen a solid ( so far ) black EE ??? I hatched one out in the incubator a few weeks ago and so far all black feathering. I cant wait to see her all grown up. Hope she stays solid black I think that would be so cool.

I have a solid white EE rooster gorgeous. i've been looking for a solid white EE hen for him just to mess around with and see if they have white chicks

Just breed to your EE hens . Then breed pullets back to him . 50% will hatch white .

That depends on the kinda white it is you described rescesive white but what if it is dominant white?

If it is dominant you would have some color with 1 copy of white and all chicks would be mostly white . I will add a dominant white picture . This one has 1 copy white .

Wow, you had to wait longer than me for the first one but mine are just now that big. Pretty color.

If it is dominant you would have some color with 1 copy of white and all chicks would be mostly white . I will add a dominant white picture . This one has 1 copy white .

Yes they can have both types . Dominant white is better at taking out black a leaving red . This makes BB Red into Red Pyle and golden laced into white laced buff . Recessive white is better at removing red . Both types can produce pure white . I think Frankie has recessive white because it is common in EE . It could be either or both . Just trying to help him see that another white EE is not his only option in producing more white EE .

ive found some dominant white easter eggers however the majority have loads of red leakage
