Easter Egger club!

I certainly don't think she is Frankensteinish. I think she is quite beautiful, love the colors and especially the fact that they are different. I have 1 EE and wasn't impressed with her markings until she got older. She is now about 6 mos. and she is stunning. Very sweet, little jumpy but lay beautiful eggs. She also has the disconnected colors but that is what makes her unique.

Well have your roo's started crowing yet ???? Mine crow 24/7 and some neighbors say they hear them several miles away in the morning before the trucks start working and the daily noise drowns them out .... :lau Russian Orloff roo 6 months old ..... Spare breeding roo's standing on the grow out cage for chicks and the chicks in the cage are 6 to 12 weeks old then the adult grow out pen is next :cd .... From left to right EE, RO, BCM, EE and the one in the back of them is a EE roo also so there is 5 roo's on top of the cage checking out the new live stock ...... :ya Gander007 :old
Hi Gander! Yes they started crowing again the next morning. My two usually crow off and on all day as well but last week when I gotten home from Dearborn they were silent. What the heck? I tried to get my large male to talk to me and nada! Hubby said it was payback for me going away and not being fed the treats he likes. My LF Cochin isn't old enough to join my EE males in the sunrise song yet. Stumpy is just over 6 months old now.

To some people that would sound funny but it is so true and I can really understand what your Hubby said as I have been told my birds do not make anywhere near the noise when I am away from the house compared to when I am in the house and that the noise explodes when I am with in five miles of the house so they can defiantly tell the noise of my car or truck .....

So these birds are definitely aware of their surroundings .........

Since I was away for training my hens productivity dropped and the fellers made less noise I have been told. I returned Fridayafternoon to find 3 eggs and no crowing. Saturday same egg count but Fester and Lurch were talking loudly. The kids know my voice well, if i call hubby when he is near the coop the kids get loud and run looking for me. Need to get both coops ready for cold weather so today may also put laying numbers down, but it needs done. Will be boosting protein levels again this week and hope to put my sassy Brahmas and shy Cochin in with Stumpy and his two girls. Pray it goes well.
