Easter Egger club!

I held her last night as she passed...my precious baby died...I tried giving her fluids and she was perkier but she still died...maybe she had worms or maybe she had this from birth... I wish I knew what was wrong with her...I did everything I could to save her...

So sorry to hear this.

My easter egger arenso scared of my friend and my freind started making jokes about when she leaves my house my two EE start singing in joy. Lol. My to EE's names are Bluffy and Cinnimon. Bluffy is a beautiful grey EE and Cinnimon is a beautiful brown color.

ok well Holly's eggs are starting to turn green again i was hoping they would stay blue for awhile though.
So a green egg is just the result of a blue egg that gets the brown applied to it in the egg making process. If the egg moves through the system faster than normal and does not get all of its brown "paint job" so so speak, it is simply the blue egg it started as. Sometimes they sit for longer in that area and get a darker egg, or in my green egg hens case she gets globs of the dark color sometimes that results in spots on her eggs. Many times a hen will lay darker eggs at the start of the laying season and they will get lighter as the season progresses or if the egg is larger than normal the brown tint does not go on as thick and results in a lighter egg or more bluish.I have an oldeer BO that used to lay brown eggs forever but now that she is getting on in age she lays pinkish eggs instead.

How many weeks old are EE when they start laying eggs? I have had mine for about six weeks.
