Easter Egger club!

Because I had one of the cornish, it was definitely different. And the cornish came from the bantam bin; the chickens in question are standards

Cornish (or Indian Game Fowl as they are also called) come in bantam and large fowl and in different color varieties - of which your white-laced are one of the prettiest IMO. Beautiful birds!

The legs on regular Cornish fowl are usually not lengthy so your birds might be a cross-breed.

Is it possible to have an Easter egger without a beard/muffs? I have two pullets that were labeled as heavies at the store. I was convinced that they were easter eggers because I saw a picture of an EE that looked just like them but now I'm doubting myself. I thought they would develop muffs as they matured but now I realize muffs are usually present even in day olds. They also have yellow legs. I can't figure out what the heck they are, please help! (Also, someone on this forum told me they were red laced cornish but I know for a fact they're not)

Regardless of what they are, they're beautiful birds. The one in the bottom pic looks kind of like a bald eagle. Very majestic :) the only way to know for sure it to wait for the eggs!

Well, I finally came up with a name for The Black Hen Formerly Known As Silvertips, I got the idea from my dad (rest his soul). He had a tradition of naming black cats after the devil (Satan, Lucifer, and so on). So I thought something similar would work for chickens, However while devil names might be fine for roosters, I thought I might tweak it a bit and use witch names for the hens. That said, Silvertips will henceforth be known as Glinda.

Henny Penny, Molly (my roo), Daisy, and Penelope

We named all of our chickens as babies... back to front:
Penelope, she reminds me of a sunset with her coloring
Daisy is in the back, she was our little yellow chick
Molly is my rooster, my MIL named him before we found out he was a roo and I just call him Molls now lol
Henny Penny has a grey beard, she's already laying for me.

My 2 EEs are 18 weeks tomorrow and they are both becoming more lovely by the day.

Loving her blue/lavender accents

An this one's penciling (if that's what it's called) is quite striking. She's had a little feather picking and molt near her tail, but everything is regrowing nicely

Got four more!

I ordered some more pullets from http://chickensforbackyards.com to replace Pinky, Pepper and the white EE that dissapeared before I could name her. And since one of my pullets decided 'she' would rather grow up to be a rooster (Chaz), I also added a Cuckoo Marans. I was hoping to include a Marans when I bought the seven back in April, but they sold out within two hours after they arrived at the feed store!.

Hopefully all the newcomers will arrive healthy (and female!) sometime next month.

Your birds are so pretty! My girls are 18 weeks old and the egg wait is driving my nuts. LOL

You're telling me! I have 2 Golden Sexlinks that are 18 weeks and aren't even red in the combs with minimal waddles. Freeloading lazy slackers ;)
