The person you mentioned my have a bantam EE which is a small chicken.. I have a standard EE and she lays a large egg.. her egg is a greenish tan.. but yes, they can lay shades of blue to shades of green to tan... I believe they are a mixed breed from Ameruacanas... Google Easter Eggers.. there is plenty of info about them..Sorry if this is a super dumb question, but I'm brand new and I know a little less than nothing.
Generally speaking, does the term Easter Egger only denote that the hens lay eggs of the pretty pastel colors? Are the eggs variable in size? I was asking an acquaintance who has a few barred rock hens and he said the EE hens lay small eggs- just larger than a quail's egg, but I wanted some more info so I can be more able to make a decision.
