Generally speaking, does the term Easter Egger only denote that the hens lay eggs of the pretty pastel colors? Are the eggs variable in size? I was asking an acquaintance who has a few barred rock hens and he said the EE hens lay small eggs- just larger than a quail's egg, but I wanted some more info so I can be more able to make a decision.

The person you mentioned my have a bantam EE which is a small chicken.. I have a standard EE and she lays a large egg.. her egg is a greenish tan.. but yes, they can lay shades of blue to shades of green to tan... I believe they are a mixed breed from Ameruacanas... Google Easter Eggers.. there is plenty of info about them..

May I ask what kind of hens laid the center white eggs, so I can have a size comparison idea?
 
My EEs have all laid eggs that measure large to extra large. The first few eggs are normally smaller than what they'll lay as adults but more like a medium than a bantam egg.

Great- that’s what I had thought but the comment from the acquaintance threw me off. I would like to try having an Easter egger or two- the eggs are just exquisite.

In addition the eggs being exquisite, mine have fun personalities. I'm quickly getting hooked on them!
