All this talk of glueing beards, muffs and now tufts? On EEs/Ameraucanas? I think we need a video montage(sp?) to post on utube. We could have the "stylin" chickens posing like little runway models!

if you look at my two babies, they are slim on the muffs... but i noticed that with my teens, they came to be a little older and the 2 blonds didn't have much muffs- but now they do... as they reached laying age-

Again people are confusing Tufts with Beard/Muffs.

Beard/muffs (Fluffy beard - commonly found on Easter Eggers, required on Ameraucanas)

Tufts ( curling feathers only on the side of the face. A bird can have only one tuft, or two tufts, or one big and one small, but they're FEATHERS instead of fluff

Just thought it would be helpful.

Often the confusion of tufts vs beard/muffs is what gets people thinking their EE's are Araucanas (because Araucanas have tufts) - I used to think such was so.
