I have a golden laced sebright, a golden laced polish, an Easter egger, and a D’uccle. Oye!
depends on what you want a rooster for. Are you planning to breed some pure breds to sell - in that case the rooster needs to be the same breed as the hen. Are you looking for some muscle to help protect your hens? If the average rooster stands up to a predator, he will be the first casualty.
If you want to hatch or sell fertile eggs- pure breeding(same breed parents) will probably sell better than mixed breeds.
