I was convinced this chick was a pullet until I came across an article on the internet about how to sex EE's. Now I'm not entirely sure. I recently got rid of a chick that was a very obvious roo and it was hard because he was my favorite. I wouldn't be upset about this chick though. She(he?) is an absolute brute. She chases the other chicks around and picks on my Buff Orp chicks. She is also the least friendly with me and is always the last and most difficult to catch in the brooder. Lets just say she has earned one or two unflattering nicknames in our house. Her comb has no color yet at four weeks. Her feathers have started coming in and they are a very pretty copper/red color. She definitely isn't the "drab" colors that I've been reading females tend to be. I know sexing at this age isn't 100% and I will be keeping her until there is no doubt one way or the other. I am just curious as to what others think.
