He crowed for the very first time today!!! Y’all are spot on.

I LOVE to hear those first squeaky crows, especially when they're immediately followed by peeps. I keep most of my boys - all Nankin bantams - in what we call the Bachelor Pad. I have four in there at the moment. As soon as the three extra pairs are sold, the "keeper" will move into the adjacent main coop and run. I'll miss my bachelor flock. It's by far my favorite - eye candy and frat-boy antics all in one coop - but there'll be another next year. Roosters are cool!

You should be - he's a handsome one. Remember, though, that EE's are a mixed breed, so not all of his offspring will be EE's, even if all of his hens are EE's. Ya gotta love genetics!
