Hi Everyone!

I am really curious what this chick will look like when grown. Bought this Easter Egger from TSC on 3/3 as a baby, so should be almost 6 weeks now. I know it’s hard to ever say what mix they are, but curious if anyone has one similar and can share what adult feathers might look like.
Thank you for any insight. Gender guesses always welcome too 😆

This year-cskmilar to what she looks like. After molt, in my experience, EE colors will change to some extent. Get lighter or darker than their first yesr.

Her coloring will probably be similar to what she has now. Blue and gold. She is the old type of Easter egger, which has been around for a long time. I doubt her parentage includes any recent crosses with pure breeds. She is very pretty!
Thank you so much! I love the blue mix and excited to hear!

Good to know! Thank you. Always fun to watch them change and grow.

Yes, it is. Their beard/muffs will be particularly fluffy and large after a molt! The color change after a molt varies quite a built. We had grey EE, and they are still ...grey, pretty much the same as before. But we’ve had other EE that are noticeable different, still generally the same color family (a white/light EE won’t go really dark). We’ve seen some more distinct “lacing” show up after a molt too...not like a Wyandotte distinct lacing, but some edging to the feathers.

Thank you for the details!!

Oh my gosh she looks so similar to an EE named Muffy I had years ago. I'm going to struggle finding pictures, but I'll see if I can find some of her grown. She may turn out similar looking to this other EE I had who I do have pictures of which I put one in!
