Easter Egger confirmed to be a roo - 9 week EE/RIR mix - lots of pics

Yes, I've given up hoping for a hen -- but isn't he getting pretty. I just wanted to close out this thread with better pics

He's 10 1/2 weeks here and I've got to rehome him before he starts crowing, so I took some more pics for craigslist.

I agree that he is def. a roo. I hate it to when a pretty bird comes in a you hope it is a pullet only to get a rooster. He is beautiful though

With that extra red shading coming in, there's pretty much no way he's not a he.

When you say "red coming through," are the circles what you are talking about.

Thanks, sorry to reopen an old thread but I'm trying to figure this out.

Yep, those are the areas. It's called red leakage. Look back at the younger pics and you can see it starting. Only roos get that shading and splashier color.

I have a mix that is possibly ee and rir. Not sure on age. Maybe 7 weeks. Maybe 9 weeks. Fluffs a lot and lays down when petted. I am so confused and hoping for a girl.
