I have 4 ten week old Easter Eggers that are supposed to be sexed female, but 2 started crowing this week. I am 99% sure one is a pullet, but I have my suspicions about the last one. I'm hoping she's just a feisty hen. The first three pics are of the one I think is female, and the last three pics are the one I'm questioning. (The two confirmed roos have much bigger, redder combs and wattles, and more obvious hackle and swaddle feathers than these two.) TIA

Wherever you got them from, I sure hope they do refunds. That's a shame, they're 50% wrong.

I think they both look like pullets too. My forte' however is with silkies, but it's fun to try other breeds as much are the same signs.

The one with gold patterning on the body and silver on the neck is male. Males can carry both, females must be one or the other.

They do returns in exchange for a similar age hen. It's just so disappointing - my kids handled these guys for hours a day for the last 2 months, only to trade them in for unsocialized ones.

Agree with what others have already said, but also I'd add that it could just be the angle of the photos but you seem to be looking for male saddle feathers right back at the tail. They'll grow in further forward than that, especially at first.
Here's where to look, though ten weeks old could still be a bit too young.

I was wondering about that, but wasn't sure if it applied to EEs since they are mutts. It acts more like a roo than the roos.
