Easter egger pullets?

I have three 1 month old Easter egger pullets. I am wondering why two have the feathers tuffs on their heads and one doesn't? Is this a gender indicator? TIA

They aren’t ameraucanas. Could be Olive or Easter Eggers, or maybe even “regular” barnyard mixes. The crests don’t indicate gender

Sorry, not Ameracaunas; the crest indicates probable Welsummer mixes.
