I have two Easter Eggers that I am not sure about their gender. Can anyone help me determine it? They are about 2 Months old.

I have heard this chicken attempt to crow before, and I assume that it is a roo, but I want some opinions because I have never had Easter Eggers before. I also noticed that it has developed faster and most of the other hens will stick closer to it.

I have not heard this one crow, but it is very aggressive, developed faster and is quite large compared to the hens. I think is color is a indicator, but I cannot be sure. I noticed that he does not prefer to be around the other alleged roo while out ranging, but that could also be a personality thing?

I am no expert but the EEs I have are about just over 4 months old and they do not have that developed of a comb yet.......just a thought. I had heard the earlier the comb develops at a young age the more likely its a cockerel? But like I said I am no expert.

I have 18 5 week old EEs and this thread has helped me confirm that 12 are very likely to be roosters. Thanks! Their combs and wattles are of similar size and are developing the same deep red colour as your two cockerels.

I do not think I have any cockerels based on what I have seen here, but just as future reference, how can you tell by looking at their tail feathers so I know what I am looking for? Thanks in advance!
