Easter Egger: Hen or Rooster :(

Hi All,

I am going to be so sad if this beautiful Easter Egger is a rooster because that means he is going to be served up for dinner soon. Please, say it ain't so. We got them from a feed/pet store on the 6th of January..I think they were a few days old by the time we got them.

The one I am asking about is the one with white/black

The pointed hackle and saddle feathers are definite signs that it's a rooster. I've seen that coloring on several other EE roos.

I am new to the chicken scene, can you tell me where the saddle feathers and hackle are?

nevermind, I think I got it by searching. The 'neck' feathers and the feathers just above tail on the back.
