Hi! I have my first Easter Egger and they are 6 weeks, I’m very suspicious it’s a male but hard for me to tell since they are a hybrid. Thanks!

Hi! Definitely looks to be male with hackle and saddle feathers coming in, but it IS hard to tell with EEs for sure! Are the other three EEs and same age? Maybe update in another week!

Typically reddish/copper coloring will pop up on the shoulders on the male EEs but not always. I don't see any of that in this one. There's not a clear view of the comb so if you can get a good pic of the face, that'll help.

At 6 weeks old, it's a little young to sex using hackle and saddle feathers.

6 weeks is too young to see real male saddles...but I can definitely see how the pattern on the bird gives that optical illusion!

I'm not sure about this one. No distinctly male or female traits yet. It could really go either way. Currently, I suspect that it's female, but the math behind that is like 55% vs 45%.
Update in a couple of weeks! It should be clear by then.

I can't tell, maybe post new pictures in a week or two, but the tail looks a little male-like. I don't have experience with EEs tho.

The tail does look boyish, but I think you still need to wait a while on that one. The wing feathers are also distinctive and pointy curved. I'm leaning towards a stylish hen.

Those tail feathers will molt out as the bird grows, so I wouldn't look at that since it is juvenile plumage and not adult plumage.

A better picture of the comb would help with this one. I'm thinking male based on its chunky body and legs, but best to give the ones that show mixed signals more time before deciding.
