I'm sorry, I knew that's what you meant. I just wasn't sure how to say sexing based on patterns.
My mixes all had pea combs from their mother. They definitely take longer to show up, that's for sure!

Thanks! I'm sure enough that she is a he that I changed her name from Miss Americana to Sarge. We have a leghorn rooster named "The Colonel" so Sarge seemed appropriate!

What up bird peeps!?
This spring's crop of chicks are growing up fast! I don't know how it is where yall are, but here in middle TN the TSC baby situation is ROUGH. They're only in small batches, and they're gone in 30 mins. It's like Pokémon. You gotta be quick.
Anyway, I managed to score one single "Americana" - which I am calling an Easter Egger - Pullet. *ALLEGEDLY*
'Her' comb is much redder than the Lavender Orpington's that is the same age. I am very nervous that she might be a He. I really wanted some Easter eggers to add color to the egg basket. I will be terribly disappointed if the one I got ends up being a dude.
It is too early to tell. For sure.
