Hi there!

I am totally new to chickens and just got these lovely EEs this morning, Snowdrop in the back and Coco in front. I have no idea what their sex might be and as I'm an urban dweller and only allowed hens! I believe they are 6-7 weeks old, any tips or hints to possible sex?

Welcome to BYC!
Can you get a clear photo of the comb on the white bird? Are the legs of the front bird feathered? It almost looks like it in this photo, so would be interested in seeing them.

Thanks Ol Grey Mare! I ran right out and took a few more ^_^

No feathers on Coco...yet anyway just really smooth green tinted legs ;3

They both look like ladies to me too! With my chickens, the first sign of a roo at that age was the comb. It was a lot more red in comparison to the other chickens.

An even better indicator than color alone is that with pea combed birds (such as most EE) the number of rows of "peas" are indicative of gender. Male birds will have three distinct rows while females will have a single row.
