I have four 1st generation Easter Egger pullets. I hatched these. Three are black and one blue. All are bearded and have darker legs. Very cute! I just can't keep them all.

The father was a pure blue Ameraucana [not EE]. Mothers were a black australorp and a barred rock.
So these are absolutely going to lay blue/green eggs!

They are about 4 1/2 months old and should start laying pretty soon. In great health.

I am near Philadelphia and I would drive a little bit to meet someone. Thanks!

Hi, No the ones from this hatch I am keeping haven't started laying yet.
However I know they will lay blue/green eggs because the blue gene is dominant and that's what they received from the dad [who is pure Ameraucana [not an EE]].
If the dad were an EE they you'd have no idea what color they'd lay [statistically 50% would lay blue green], that's why most EE's are said to be "able" to lay blue green or pink or brown eggs.

Hello,
I was wondering if you still have your pullets? I live in NY and would love to have more of these pretty ladies.
Please get back to me either way.

Thanks,
Amy

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am meeting someone today who wants them--but I will let you know if it actually happens. Sometimes something comes up....

Thanks again!

The lady that contacted me did indeed come meet me and buy the girls.

Thank you all though!

Hi,
I have been looking for young chickens, I live in northern Pa, very rural area and I am having hard time finding nice looking chickens. I came across your post and I think your chickens are cute. I was wondering if you still have them. I believe I am about 3 hours from you, but I have a friend that lives near Philadelphia, she has a vacation home hear and she would probably be willing to pick them up for me.

Are the 4 birds still available? I live in Coatesville Pa. I have 5 amercuana roo's and only 1 hen. all about 3.5 mths. I work at Shillington Market and will be sending the roo's to our Poultry man's farm. I would like to replace w/ hens to keep bessie company. you can email mail me @ [email protected]. Thank You for Your time & consideration.
