I'm in Austin, TX. I hatched this 9.5week old Easter Egger roo myself from hatching eggs ordered from My Pet Chicken. He hatched on August 7th, and has been my favorite since day 1. He is very calm, sweet, and inquisitive, and was the only chick who actively wanted to be held by me. As you can see in the pictures, he is not a clean-faced Easter Egger, but has muffs, and was the cutest chubby-cheeked chick!. I don't want to give him up, but he is clearly a roo, and I'm in a suburban area and don't want to annoy my neighbors. He hasn't started crowing yet, since he is only 9.5weeks old. There's a lot of mean roosters out there, but this isn't one of them! If you're looking for a gentleman for your ladies, a rooster that will look out for them and be sweet and gentle, he's your man! Since he hasn't started crowing yet, I'm willing to hang on to him until I get a response from someone who wants to make him a part of their flock (not their freezer). He's one special guy!
