I remember reading somewhere I feel like that said if your Easter Egger gets red feathers on its shoulders, then it's probably a rooster. I have almost 3 week old chicks and several had red collars. They were purchased sexed female with 90% guarantee. But I am new to all of this and was wondering when this would be true?

This is my favorite chick, also one of the calmest and most curious. Hatched 5/30

Several of the other chicks have similar colored necks, not sure if it is an Easter Egger thing, or a rooster thing. Thanks for your help!

okay, so I should only be concerned if the reddish patches show up on the shoulder part of the wings, and not so concerned about the fancy red necklaces some of them are wearing. right?

Now, this one... I'm really starting to suspect a Him. What do you think? Also 6 weeks old

Looks pullet but that comb is throwing me off. Still no color to it so going to say more likely pullet than cockerel. Need a couple more weeks  some take forever to show their "true" colors but for sure you should know at 12wks ;)
