Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Is it too early to tell what sex Nugget is? 3 weeks old in the picture.
It is pretty early. Sometimes you can tell by the comb, but we would need a much clearer picture of Nugget's comb.

Go back 2 pages (pg 1032) and look at MedSchlFarmers post. There are 3 cockerels and one pullet that you can tell by the combs. The boys have 3 bumpy ridges or "rows of peas." A pullet usually has a single narrow ridge down the center. Sometimes a slow developing cockerel will look like a pullet longer than expected, so confirming a female so young is hard to do, but much of the time, some males will be identifiable.

I've got another "what is it?"! Yall are so keen on being able to tell!

Thanks in advance!

The only thing that looks remotely boyish about her is the redness of the comb. She's old enough to start turning red, there are no male saddle or hackle feathers, and her shape is all girl. She sure is pretty. I'd love a hen like that! It is doubtful she will lay a green egg, but please update when you find out. Sometimes their faces will get redder right before they lay, so you can watch for that.

I will let you know! I'm not sure how to add you as a friend or look you up to let you know? But I'll try my best.
