One of my girls had a yellow comb until just this week - it is light pink now. I agree that this is probably a boy.

Just for fun, here are my 2 EE girls at about 4 weeks and 10 weeks

1)
4 weeks

And at 10 weeks...she is becoming quite pretty. I am loving her blue.

And at 10 weeks. She has been our dominant bird and guardian of our flock since day one.

Has any one found that certain colors correlate with personality at all? I know there have been studies in canines and was wondering if EE's might exhibit this too?
I'm also trying to decide which of my 6 cockerels to keep. I will probably take the above advice and wait till about 16 weeks to chose.

Not really. One of my blue/black OE is the highest ranking in the flock and one is among the lowest. One of my splash boys is very docile and lets us pick him up, and the other two slash boys are always posturing at each other. Those two are constantly arguing over second place. The splash girl is at the bottom of the pecking order. I think it has more to do with size than color.

So would you pick the smallest cockerel to keep if you could only have one? Right now at 10 weeks my biggest and my smallest are the friendliest with people.
One keeps to himself from the other birds and from people, but is very pretty.

Always choose the boy that is most respectful of humans and the other birds. A cockerel that respects your space and gives you room to do what you need to do around the coop is one that is worth considering keeping. Cockerels that are always running up to you could be birds that will take it one step farther, by charging and jumping to spur you. Cockerels that will jump on top of you the second you are still is not showing you affection, he is displaying dominance over you. What newbies see as cute and friendly, are usually precursors to aggressive behavior.
