PRAYING this little one is a pullet. 5 weeks old. My last EE was a male, and I was devistated. I am just asking for one female EE, that's all! So far the legs don't seem extra large. The comb is usually white, but was flushed pink in the extreme heat yesterday. I can see 3 rows of "bumps" but the outside rows aren't as large as the center row. This is the age my last one was clearly male. Guesses anyone?

Here are two more photos. I hope I'm just being paranoid. The white beak area in contrast with the black make it really stand out. I cannot keep it if it's a rooster, which is why I'm concerned.

It's a bit young yet, and your camera is not focusing on the comb with the bars in the way. If someone can hold the chick for you, you might get better comb shots. Front and side views help. Also, watch for wattle development. Sometimes that can be a better indicator of a cockerel.
