Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Haha! I was gonna say... That doesn't look right! Could be mixed with EE and and a single comb bird, it doesn't look like my black sex link at all... Do some already have that much red at that age? If it's a sexlink cross there is a chance it could still be a roo, right?

@Jacquieh As chickens are social animals, I think she'd do better overall if she isn't the only bird... I'd consider building a coop and adding a couple more pullets... Welcome to chicken math! haha
The amount of gold in black sexlink pullets is highly variable. Some have a lot of gold, some are completely black. It's all 'normal.'

These are combs where pea and rose (which are co-dominant) came together to make cushion combs of various shapes. All of these are female EEs (and two of the three are known to lay blue eggs, the first one is not old enough yet):

Thank you, and yes, I've been told my girl (maybe boy) needs friends....and I am planning on getting a coop built. I don't want her to suffer, I rescued her so she would have a good life...lol...so yes, she's getting a friend or two. I'm waiting to see what "she" is...and I was told by the "meth addict" that I rescued her from, that she was an EE....but I don't know one from another. I was noticing that EE's arm to have several different colors...reminds me of calico cats...and I LOVE the colors of the EE's I've seen. And she didn't seem to have All those colors, but I posted on another thread and several people said they thought she was an EE...so...I have NO idea at this point. What am a looking for, that determines if she is an EE or Sexlink (such a horrible name, lol) ? And so do you think she is still a she? What other things should I look for? If I post more body pictures, could you determine if she is a she? I can post some of her tail feathers? I just REALLY want to know for sure....lol...I guess until she starts crowing, I won't know one way or another. Lol...or lays an egg. Anyways, thank you for ALL the help, the people on here are so nice. Especially since I'm sure some of my questions are silly, yet no one has been rude or mean, and I appreciate that! Thank you ALL!

Ok I just searched black sexlink images and there are some that look very similar... @Jacquieh If it is a "black sexlink" then it is definitely a girl because they are bred where only the girls are black

I don't see the saddle feathers yet but that particular look is often male. How old?
5 and a half weeks! I was CONVINCED those were saddle feathers. He also looks more stocky? Like his back looks more muscular? And his legs are very thick. The comb, though- no signs of roo. But his face and beak remind me of my old EE rooster.
