Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Right now I have 10 EEs going on 4 weeks old. I can already spot a few cockerels by the feathering. There is a black and white EE as well, and so far it looks like a pullet. Almost fully feathered. Stanley wasn't fully feathered until he was 7-8 weeks old!

I have to take some images. I just had a hatch as well. We went to a show and I showed my blue EE eggs and won a plaque for them :D :woot

They sure are pretty!

I do have one EE that started laying at 22 1/2 weeks old. She squatted about. 5days before she started laying. Like I said eariler, my other EE will be 30 weeks old and no eggs. Although she did squat about 2days ago! Maybe soon!!!!! And it better be blue or green or I will scream! Hahahaha
30 weeks????? I would lose my mind! :)

Do you have other EE's besides those two? Just wondering what the avg age is for them to lay. I know, every chicken is different.

I have 5 buff Brahmas.(3 at 19 weeks and 2 at 25 weeks)..none are laying though two are SOOO red faced that they look like they should be!
I also have 3 light Brahmas 19 weeks old, 2 are laying every other day and have been for 2 weeks....
4 EE's, 23 weeks...none laying but 3 VERY red face and combs,
and lastly one FBCM that is 23 weeks, not laying.
None of the above are squatting except the laying light Brahmas...and "ocassionally" the FBCM.

I have added a little supplemental lighting in the morning for the past week since the days have been short and dreary....I just want to see those pretty eggs. Heck, even if they are just brown, they will be pretty to me at this point! :)

*sigh*

Mine are 30 weeks old now, and the first one started to lay at 21 weeks old. The rest started shortly after. I never get more than 3 eggs a day and have 4 girls. I'm pretty sure they are all laying though. All of the eggs look the same in colour, but one lays a longer egg.

Those blues are GORGEOUS!!!!
Thank you! I thought so :D They are more blue than my PURE Ameraucanas.

3 weeks later and updated pics, still has the odd tail but comb isn't any bigger or pinker, if anything, it almost looks smaller. And no sudden appearance of red on the shoulders...yay!

I purchased eight straight run EE/OE chicks, posted pics of them on the What Breed or Gender thread, but wanted additional input on this one from the EE experts. S/he's ~8 weeks old, general feedback is pullet. I was thinking cockerel because of the three distinct rows of "peas". Would be thrilled if it's a pullet, just trying to clarify sexing "tricks".

So another one of those darn black and white EEs, 13-14 weeks old. I'm leaning towards pullet (s/he's from a straight run), but that little bit of brown flecking in the feathers and the size of the comb have me nervous, though at least it isn't bright pink. Don't need another cockerel, my black and white feed store "pullet" already turned out to be a cockerel (last pic ~5 months).
