Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I have a 5 1/2 week old EEer that I'd like advice on She was solid white as a baby chick, and has some rust coming in. It's very similar to my other EE here who is definitely a hen: EXCEPT. This chick has the rust coming in mostly on it's head/neck where my EE hen has it on her body and not neck. And it as these weird individual dark grey/black feathers coming in on it's head and under one wing, which is different from my EE hen... Here s/he is, Thoughts? These cheeks are awesome, aren't they?

okay i got an odd question and thought to post it here, hoping those of you who have grown laying hens can answer it. i have four EEs about 7 weeks and one about 3 weeks. my question is: at what age does the EEs start to lay?

edit to add: i know they are too young right now...

Mine started laying around 24 weeks. Depends on what breeds were used to make the easter egger chick.

thank you for the replies, i think two of my EEs has sliver lace and one has gold lace, the other one is too young. she has not fully feather yet.I'll get updated pic later.

I thought so also. However, I friend of mine ordered 6 "pullets" from Tractor Supply last year and 2 ended up being cockerels. I guess they get it wrong sometimes. The funny thing is that the chick I think may be the cockerel is the sweetest one. However, he has a larger comb, it is redder, his waddles are starting to show (the other chicks are not) and he will bow up to my two other cockerels at times. Other than that, he's (hopefully still a she) an angel. I'm hoping it's a she that is just maturing quicker than the others? Here is a close up of the one I think may be a cockerel:

Any thoughts?

If your birds truly are red-sex links any males would be white. That is why they are sex-links. The color is linked to the sex of the bird. Unless your bird is some other breed there is no way it could be a cockerel.
